Why I built Chem Tutor
My name is Vanessa. I’m a student at Western University, working toward becoming a doctor. CHEM 1302 was one of the courses I found the most frustrating. The theory made sense, but most of the course is calculations, and that’s where I kept getting stuck.
I tried doing old exams, rereading the textbook, and doing the workbook problems over and over. But without a proper foundation, I kept making the same mistakes and didn’t feel like I was actually learning.
That’s what pushed me to create Chem Tutor. I needed something that actually showed me how to get from the question to the answer. Because it uses the same lecture and textbook material, the explanations actually matched what we were being taught in class and what shows up on exams. I built it because I needed it, and I knew other students did too!
